SIOC — Study In anOther Country AS acts as an independent agent arranging language courses with our partner schools. These terms apply to all reserves made through SIOC.

1. Reserve process

All prices shown on language-studies.com are indicative estimates based on our current knowledge of school pricing. SIOC confirms the exact price, availability and start dates directly with the school before you commit to a reserve. No reserve is confirmed until you receive written confirmation from SIOC and the school.

2. SIOC's role as agent

SIOC acts as an independent agent. The contract for your course is between you and the language school. SIOC is ANSA-approved (Norwegian Students' International Fund) and abides by ANSA's ethical guidelines for agents. We do not add hidden fees — our service is compensated by the school, not by charging you above the school's published price.

3. Payments

Payment terms vary by school. Typically a deposit is required to confirm your place, with the balance paid before departure or on arrival. SIOC will confirm the exact payment schedule for your reserve. Payments are processed securely via Stripe.

4. Cancellation

Cancellation policies are set by the individual schools and vary. SIOC will confirm the specific cancellation policy for your chosen school before you book. In general: cancellations more than 4 weeks before the course start are subject to a deposit forfeiture; within 4 weeks, higher cancellation fees may apply. We strongly recommend travel insurance that covers course cancellation.

5. Changes to reserves

Date changes and course changes are subject to availability and may incur school administration fees. Contact SIOC as early as possible if you need to make changes.

6. School content and pricing

SIOC makes every effort to keep school information, pricing and dates accurate. However, school pricing, availability and course content can change. The school's current published prices and terms always take precedence over information on our website.

7. Complaints

If you have a complaint about your course, please contact the school directly in the first instance. If the matter is unresolved, contact SIOC at info@language-studies.com. As an ANSA-approved agent, SIOC is subject to ANSA's dispute resolution process.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by Norwegian law. Any disputes shall be resolved in Norwegian courts.
