Student review verification methodology
A transparent standard for first-party student evidence.
Verification
Where possible, SIOC matches a submission to a booking, application, adviser interaction or other documentary evidence. If verification is not possible, the review must not be labelled verified.
Moderation
Moderation may remove personal data, abuse or irrelevant material, but must not change the substance of the student’s experience.
Incentives
Any material incentive must be disclosed. Incentives may never depend on a positive rating.
Corrections
Reviewers and institutions can flag factual issues; SIOC records substantive corrections under its corrections policy.
